The Library Garden at Nyarushanje Community Library and Empowerment Center. This garden is linked to the Cookery, Baking and Housekeeping Training. All trainees of Cookery, Baking and Housekeeping participate in the garden session once a week.
The trainees get some of the ingredients (onions, spices, vegetables like spinach, sukumawiki,cabbages, cucumber, beet root and lemon grass) from the garden to the kitchen, The garden also serves as a demonstration of good agricultural practices and the trainees and community members are encouraged to grow vegetables, fruits at household level.
